They removed his last chest tube!! Hooray! He now only has an IV in his wrist, and a pulse/oxygen sensor on his big toe (he doesn't like it, but it doesn't hurt.) They already came and did the follow-up chest x-ray, so they will review that and then we can start feeding him again. He hasn't really wanted to eat, and they had to give him some morphine to pull the tube, so he is already asleep again and probably won't want to eat for a little while.
He is such a strong little guy....the doctor pulled the chest tube out and he let out a cry, then held his breath for a minute, let out a loud cry and that was it. He just got over it. Makes me proud. :)
Here are a couple of "no more tubes" pics. The clear tubes you see are for his IV. He's a little out of it from the morphine...lol
So glad to hear everything is going well. He looks so handsome showing off no tubes! Wish I could come by and see you guys but my work week has been crazy!
